About Me
My Work
I'm a theatre director and creative leader who loves a good story—and even more, the people who come together to tell it.
My work tends to live in a few different places: rehearsal rooms, classrooms, and creative teams of all kinds. Whether I'm directing a musical, shaping a campaign, or helping an organization find its voice, I'm usually asking the same questions: What's the story we are telling? Who is it for? And how do we make it feel honest, human, and worth paying attention to?
I care a lot about process. The best work, in my experiences, happens in rooms where people feel supported, challenged, and excited to be there. That's as true for a cast as it is for a creative team or a group of collaborators trying to solve a problem together.

Biography
My work as a director has taken me across regional, community, and educational spaces, where I've led large-scale musicals, new work, and special event performances. Recent projects include productions of Something Rotten!, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls, and Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, as well as large-scale festival performances featuring Broadway guest artists such as Shaina Taub, Miguel Cervantes, Michael James Scott, and Zachary Noah Piser.
A meaningful throughline in that work has been my long-standing relationship with Theatre Cedar Rapids, where I first stepped onstage at eleven and have returned in recent seasons as a resident director. That connection continues to shape how I approach rehearsal rooms, collaboration, and the role theatre can play in building community.
Alongside my work in theatre, I've spent much of my career in creative and content leadership roles. Most recentlly, I served as Senior Creative Director at the Educational Theatre Association, where I led storytelling and creative strategy across video, digital, print, and live events for a national network of theatre educators and students.
Earlier, I worked with Disney Theatrical Productions on Broadway, overseeing the development of licensed plays and musicals for schools, regional theatres, and professional companies worldwide. As a writer, editor, and project manager, I've contributed to more than 50 titles, including Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Freaky Friday, and well as educational adaptations of Frozen, Moana, Aladdin, Finding Nemo, and others.
I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with iTheatrics, the Junior Theater Festival, and President Obama's Turnaround Arts program—work that deepened my commitment to arts education and to creating spaces where students feel empowered to find their voice.
These days, I split my time between directing, creative work, and building what's next. I live in Raleigh with my husband, Ash, and am always happy to be back in a rehearsal room or collaborating with a team to shape a story from the ground up.
